Who is this man? A MISERABLE PILE OF SECRETS wait no wrong part of the timeline The wiki is, for once, a pretty decent answer to that. Questionable romanizations and the continued effort to somehow shove Bram Stoker's novel intact into Castlevania canon aside, I mean. Anyway here it is.

(While Eric's appeared in three games, I'll be playing him from the one where he doesn't actually have any dialogue - his first appearance, Castlevania: Bloodlines. It's 1917, he's twenty-five years old, and he very recently had to kill his fiancee because Elizabeth BathoryBartley turned her into a vampire. He's not the laconic stoic he is by the time Portrait of Ruin rolls around, but he's grown up rather a lot from the haughty aristocratic brat he was ten years before his present time - yes, I'm treating CV: Judgement as subjectively canon.)
